Every once in a while it's really nice to take a day and completely tune out. Sure, I've popped in to write a quick blog post, but other than this I'll be spending the day curled up on the sofa with my pup, reading a book from start to finish. Weekends are so often spent running errands and doing projects that you're too busy to do during the week, taking a day off from everything is such a sweet luxury. Chris is drawing, I'm reading, Stella is enjoying having some company on the sofa, life is good.
Hope you all set a little time aside to be lazy today!

That was me..this morning. Just finished Hunger Games and now I need to wait patiently until I get my hands on the 2nd book.
ReplyDeleteBLISS!!! If I didn't have visitors, and T was sleeping and boss or molly were allowed on my couch..... :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
love stella she and my iggy are so alike she loves snuggling on the couch under a blankie too
ReplyDeleteExcellent reading choice. Hope you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteI just finished "Mockingjay" the third of the Hunger Games series last night! And I cast off on my Jan TFA KAL (an ipad cozy). If only I had a puppy to keep my toes warm :)
ReplyDeleteHunger Games = great books! (Once I got over my fear that every time I turned a page someone would die! LOL) I had a similar lazy day yesterday - read a book cover to cover - bliss!
ReplyDeleteNo reading for me today but it was truely a perfect lazy Sunday. Just knitting and a few walks with my dog. So glad I found you, I can't wait to knit with your gorgeous yarn.
ReplyDeleteJust finished the last book, Mockingjay, of this series. So good.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo -- love seeing Stella wrapped in your stunning blanket!
ReplyDeleteOH yes. I so know how that feels - I only wish I could give in to a day of such bliss. Hows the book?
ReplyDeleteAwesome book - I don't blame you for reading it all in one sitting.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I wish I had time to read... it's going to be a race to the finish line for the TFA knitalong!
Yes! I made sure to put aside some time to tune out, too, but the animal was my kitty and the book was audio so I could knit a little. Pure joy.
ReplyDeleteJust started the HUNGER GAMES, as everyone at work told me I needed to read it. I think...from what I've heard, it's going to be awesome.
ReplyDeleteSunday i DID spend some time finishing up my mom's socks, but then fell asleep on the couch with golden retriever-child on the floor (too hairy for the couch)
I did and it was wonderful!
ReplyDeletethat looks like the perfect lazy day!! you'll have to tell me how Hunger Games is- I haven't read it yet (might be the last person in north America to not have read it... the shame!)
ReplyDeleteAhh, that sounds like a blissful Sunday! Hope every moment was lovely!!
