Family portraits, a new tradition.

June 12, 2011

Although we did manage to spend most of Sunday, June 12th (our 1 year wedding anniversary) as planned, we did take a little bit of time to set up the camera on a stack of books on the dining room table and do our best to wrangle Stella for a family portrait. We've decided to make it a tradition to take some sort of family portrait every year on June 12th. My hope is that in 25 years from now we'll have an awesome album with 25 years worth of photo's of our family, one shot for each year. Right now that album is still pretty empty, but as the years pass and our family grows I think it'll be pretty cool.

Don't worry, it won't be all anniversary blogging around here forever! I've got a new FO and a WIP to share soon!

  1. I take a picture of my husband and son every August at the cottage, on the same rock in the lake. I've watched my son grown from a babe in arms to a 12 year old. it's so very cool...

  2. I think the annual photo is a great idea. I love Stella's expression -- "Are we done yet? Please?"

  4. My daughter and I used to have our picture done every year. Now she is grown with her own family. It is fun to look back over those pictures to see how time changes all of us. Your 1st year image is a priceless one, Beautiful!
