Bread

Have I mentioned that I make bread? Well, actually, that's not really fair, I baked bread three times in one week but haven't baked any since... it was delicious and never lasted more than 1 hour out of the oven. I know that I won't be making it every day, but it's a good trick to have up my sleeve to pull out once in a while. I baked a loaf when we had some family over for lunch the other day and boy was it a hit! It's so simple yet so impressive.

This is the recipe I used.

Yummmmmm.

  1. Okay, I admit it, I'm totally impressed. I tried the bread thing a few times, and it was a total failure!! I'm jealous of your skills!!

  2. I tried making bread a while back, and have pretty much not bought bread from a store since. It's such a satisfying thing to be able to do.

  7. I always talk about baking my own bread but it's one of those things that scares me for some reason. You've inspired me. I think I will try. Perfect thing to do on a snowy winter weekend. Thanks for the recipe.

  8. I like to bake bread too and until lately thought that 'Batter Bread' was the fastest. It's not.

I have a book called "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day".

The loaves take a minute to form and come out looking a whole lot like the loaf in your blog.

Love your colours by the way.
